Barry Zhang

Barry Zhang is a composer and arranger currently based in Japan, writing music for video games, animation, and other visual media. Specializing in orchestral and electronic hybrid music, he uses music to express the atmosphere and emotions of each project.

Barry’s musical journey began in high school through his fascination with electric guitar and metal music. After teaching himself to play the guitar, he formed a band with friends and began exploring music through performance and writing original music. Over time, his interests gradually shifted toward music production.

During college, Barry continued to study composition for visual media. He later pursued professional musical training at Berklee College of Music’s Valencia campus in Spain, where he earned a Master’s degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games.

Drawing on his international education and trilingual background, Barry continues to build connections and collaborate with producers and musicians across Asia, Europe, North America, and beyond.
